Hi, I’m Melissa, but most people call me Mel. It’s lovely to meet you.
I’m an author, mental health blogger and unstoppable cat cuddler.
I strongly believe that mental health needs to be an honest and open conversation. I’m all about breaking down those walls and ending the stigma, which is why I’ve been blogging about my own struggles and the experiences I’ve had. I hope that by sharing my journey I can help others to feel less alone.
I’m unreasonably good at Mario Kart, watch too much TV and enjoy a good game of badminton.
My hobbies also include eating, thinking about eating and generally being an all-round ridiculous human being.
That’s me out the way, now I’d love for you to tell me a little bit about yourself. I’m always up for a good chat and can normally be found lurking on Twitter. Come say hi!
Pre-order my book!
Geek Magnifique: Finding the Logic in my OCD documents my experience with mental illness and my road to recovery. It’s available to pre-order here.

I also make cards
When a loved one is struggling with their mental health, it can be hard to find the right words. Now you can find them with Honey Bee Cards.
I’m available for voiceover work too!
This is somewhat of a new venture for me, but I’d love to hear from you if you’re looking for a friendly voice with a Home Counties accent.
